A brand new vehicle to consume sangria...not that you needed it! Sangria infused with pineapple, orange and raspberry flavor and frozen in a popsicle mold!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Popsicles

2 c white wine

1 c pineapple juice

1/3 c simple syrup*

1/4 c orange liqueur*

1 orange, sliced into half moons

1 c raspberries (fresh or frozen)

For the Simple Syrup

1/3 c sugar

1/3 c water

Instructions

  1. Make the Simple Syrup: Start by making the simple syrup. In a small saucepan combine sugar and water. Heat over medium heat until mixture starts to bubble gently and sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Mix Juices: In a large pitcher combine white wine, pineapple juice, simple syrup and orange liqueur. Stir together and set aside.
  3. Add to Molds and Freeze: Scatter 1/2 of the raspberries into the bottom of your popsicle mold. Slide 1 orange slice into each mold. Top each popsicle with remaining raspberries. Pour sangria mixture over the fruit in each mold and fill them to the top. Insert your popsicle sticks into each individual mold. Place in freezer for 8 hours to overnight. Remove from freezer when ready to serve.

Notes

*Popsicles can keep in their molds in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.

**If you would like to make your simple syrup in advance you can prepare it and place it in a sealed container in your refrigerator. It will keep for about 1 month.

***All popsicle molds are different so it’s difficult to say how many you will get from this recipe. I got 12 from mine.
